The Gypsy King is back to reclaim the thrown in boxing.
Video footage has emerged of Tyson Fury sparring at Ricky Hatton’s gym. Judging from the footage, Fury is looking good. It looks like his hard work has paid off as he looked slim and sharp on the pads.
The former world heavyweight boxing champion looks well on the way to making a comeback to the sport after he last defeated Wladimir Klitschko in 2015.
Fury has teased fans about his return by announcing that a “massive, massive deal” is set to be
announced at any moment.
In the video, Fury can be seen ducking and diving punches while working with coach Ben Davison. The ‘Gypsy King’ also previously held a sparring session with unbeaten Australian heavyweight Lucas Browne at Hatton’s gym in Manchester.
Fury has admitted that during his hiatus from the sport, he experienced problems with drugs and depression. Due to his inactivity, he has also had to surrender his WBO, WBA and IBF titles which he won against Klitschko.
The former unified Champion is expected to return full-swing to boxing this year and is aiming to get into top shape as he aims to once again become one of the most talked about fighters.
Fury has been hard at work during recent months and revealed that he has lost 25st. He could be set for a comeback bout against Anthony Joshua in spring. “For a heavyweight, he’s very fast,” read one comment. “Be interesting to see what happens when he returns.”
“Looking well. I am far from your biggest fan but great to see you’re in a better place and beat your demons,” added another. “All the luck in the world.”
“Looks like he’s in decent shape here, can’t believe he’s lost that beer gut,” added another.
