Boxing fans may finally get the chance to see Floyd Mayweather take an L in his illustrious career, but not in the conventional sense.
The 50-0 welterweight champion is currently in discussions with online entertainment giants in regards for launching his own boxing game, according to TMZ.
When quizzed about the development of the Mayweather video game the American hall-of-famer admitted that him taking centre stage instead of a cut from a third party such as EA Sports was a driving factor behind this initiative.
This potential release will be the first time a superstar such as Mayweather has taken full ownership of a fight sports console game and rumours about who else will be featured are already bubbling.
Conor McGregor, a recent rival of Mayweather in the world of boxing, has often been mentioned within the same breath may be considered for a fringe roll, depending on how charitable the champ is feeling.
Mayweather gave away no in-depth details about the boxing video game leaving fans coy as to what to expect from this unique project.
