Boxing Preview & Prediction: Dubois v Darch

This Saturday the Copper Box Arena, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London plays host to another high profile boxing match, one which fans will be keen to tune into. Scheduled for 10 rounds, England’s Daniel Dubios is seeking to further advance in the heavyweight rankings by clobbering Welsh giant Dorian Darch.

The wrecking machine, Dynamite Daniel Dubois, takes to the ring this weekend in what can be nothing short of another explosive match-up. One which his opponent, Dorian Darch, will do well to not take lightly. The outcome, however, is a highly probably stoppage for the prodigy, who at 13 years younger than his counterpart, seems to be odds on favourite for a boxing prediction. Dubois is gathering steam in the heavyweight division and attracting attention for all the right reasons. We tip this fight to not go the distance.

At 5-0 Dubois is still a junior and needs heaps more experience in with journeymen before we will see him applying his knowledge of ring-craft to mix it up with the top fighters in his league.

His knockout power is both a blessing and a curse: having been on a staggering run of early knockdowns (all within three rounds), his last five opponents haven’t tested Dubois to the limits, so until now we can only assess his chances of winning the bout at the weekend on his punching ability. Interesting to see how his stamina holds up against a wiser and sharper movers later in his career.

As for Darch, he can expect a cheque and hope for as little physical damage as possible. The underdog isn’t being tipped by any major bookmaker, hence we are reluctant to put our money on him lasting more than a few early rounds.

If you’re planning a punt on Dubois winning this fight you’ll need to lay on a heavy stake to see even a small return. He’s almost evens to get the win with all major betting sites.
