No … Way: Brandon Woodruff Just Accidentally Kicked the Ball for a Force Out at First Base

Baseball, man. It’s so freakin’ weird.

In the top of the second inning during the first game of their double-header, the Brewers and Cardinals combined for one of the strangest and unbelievable (albeit accidental) defensive plays you’ll ever see. Watch as Harrison Bader hits a 96 MPH grounder OFF THE FOOT of Brandon Woodruff, before it ricochets directly to the first baseman for an out.

I mean … what?!

As a fan of the Cubs, I’m conflicted here. But I think my hate for the Cardinals outshines the Brewers, so … HA-HA! But still … what?!
